Ocean in View" nickel

Hundreds Gather at Iwaco, Washington for new Lewis and Clark NickelThe Associated Press reports that more than 1,000 people crowded parking lots at Cape Disappointment State Park to witness release of the shiny new "Ocean in View" nickel, which marks the arrival of the Lewis and Clark expedition at the Pacific Ocean 200 years ago. "The 'Ocean in View' nickel symbolizes the culmination of the journey: Lewis and Clark reaching the Pacific Ocean," Acting Director of the U.S. Mint David Lebryk said, referring to the 1805 arrival here of explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark.
